Exploration never dies
or: Presenting 'Levitate-Walking'
I'm playing World of Warcraft now for almost five years, with only one short break for a few months - and I was never really active in either PvE or PvP. For me, there are only two things in WoW that really make fun: AddOn development and, more important, Exploration. There was Wallwalking before Patch 1.9 where you could run alongside vertical walls with a bit precision. And after that was fixed, Walljumping came into existence: it was a lot more difficult to master, but you could not only move in horizontal direction, but also climb walls vertically! I have to admit that I never was quite good at it. One time I needed forty minutes to climb about five meters in height.
But now, after Walljumping was fixed and Wallwalking had its surprising and short comeback, Blizzard failed another time in their neverending efforts to stop Exploration. And this time it was an epic fail. You can climb any wall, in any direction, vertical and horizontal, by using the Priest's Levitate-spell and knowing how to get things done. You do not even need some skill or talent for it - it is really like that: running up a steep wall.
This technique once again got me back to the roots and visiting old places, like the mysterious floating rocks of Deadmines Secret. In addition, I climbed every high mountain I could imagine (and where I never was before): The Grim Batol-HELP-mountain, the summit of Mount Hyjal (which is in the picture) and various mountains in the Culling of Stratholme instance.
